It supports interoperability between vendors by helping power modules, backplanes, and other VPX system components work together according to defined mechanical and electrical requirements.
These solutions are commonly used in aerospace, defense, and industrial systems where hardware may need to operate under shock, vibration, and temperature stress.
Because these modules are often used in sealed or space-constrained enclosures, they typically use conduction cooling. Heat is transferred from internal components to the module chassis and then to the system cold plate or chassis walls.
Depending on the model and system architecture, some Milpower Source VPX power solutions may also support air- or liquid-cooled configurations.Yes. VITA 62 power solutions are typically designed to support standard AC or DC input voltages used in military and aerospace platforms. Supported ranges vary by model.
